Settled down in France for more than 13 years, Akiko, fashion designer works with natural materials like flax, silk, wool, feather … that she transforms little by little to make recognizable and unique creations which knew how to charm numerous artists and numerous customers as well; she worked for the Japanese painter Aki KURODA in 1997,creating clothes and accessories for « Cosmogarden 97 » , and also personal designer for Belgian fashion designer Libertin LOUISON in 1999 for his « Haute couture 2000 Spring/Summer collection » .
Her career is significant, after brilliant studies in Oregon in United States, in Cambridge in England, she studied at international fashion university ESMOD PARIS from 1994 to 1997, selected then for the project « Alpha 99 » as a 4th year to perfect her Art and push her career as a free-lance fashion designer.
During her creations till this moment, she has received many prices:
2nd prices for Stylism and Modelism from ESMOD in 1997, 2nd price for collection Prêt-a-porter in french brittany at « Dinard young fashion designers 1999 ».
In 2000, she presented her new collection for « Kyoto Vogue Spring/Summer 2000 » in Japan then she received special price from jury passing by Milan at the time of « Riccione Moda Italia » festival.
Her career goes on with numerous creations for French customer such as Möet & Chandon and naturally conquer Japanese fashion market.
Actually, Akiko presents her new accessories collection, bringing to light her talent in designing bags and indoor relaxing sandals inspired by modernity and tradition of her culture.
